Are you obsessed with all things food and nutrition? Do you spend your days researching health and wellness topics?

Ten years ago, that was me. I grew up in a family plagued by weight, obesity, chronic illness, and cancer. After becoming frustrated with my own poor health – acne, chronic digestive issues, low immune system, and 20 pounds of excess weight – I decided to research the connection between food and our overall health. After reversing my own health problems by changing my diet and lifestyle, I fell down the nutrition rabbit hole and spent my free time researching how to use food as medicine.

Because food so profoundly changed my own life, I became appalled that no one was teaching us how powerful it truly is. So, I decided to make it my mission to educate others on the impact of their diet, in hopes of saving them from the self-induced misery I had experienced from poor food choices.

At first, I wasn’t sure how I’d make a career of it, but in 2012 I discovered The Institute for Integrative Nutrition, the world’s largest nutrition school and it changed my life forever.

Fast Forward

Five years of coaching clients, teaching cooking classes, running online programs, and writing a book dubbed “the most practical guide to healthy eating” by world-renowned physician Dr. Dean Ornish, I now know if we’re going to revolutionize the way we eat, we need more leaders to spread the message of food as medicine.

The Current State of Unhealthy

Currently, according to the US Centers for Disease Control & Prevention (CDC), nearly 70% of the US population is overweight or obese, while 1-in-2 men and 1-in-3 women will get cancer at some point in their lifetime.

It has now become “normal” to be overweight or sick.

I discuss some of the “why” and “how” behind these statistics in my book The Real Food Grocery Guide, but what I’m more interested in at this point, is working collectively to reverse these statistics. Because they are not just numbers…they are people…like our parents, brothers, sisters, aunts, uncles, cousins, friends, and even ourselves.

The world needs you to rise up.  

The epidemic of disease and obesity can end with us.

We can educate our neighbors and community.

We can plant gardens in our backyards, balconies, rooftops, or window sills.

We are the ones who feed our children.

We have voices that can fight for healthier school lunches.

We can vote with our dollars.

Live Webinar: How to Create a Thriving Health Coaching Business

I am so honored to be teaming up with my alma mater, The Institute for Integrative Nutrition (IIN), to share how I created a thriving health coaching business from scratch. 

As a student of IIN, you will learn from teachers such as Harvard’s Dr. Walter Willett, NYU’s Marion Nestle PhD, Deepak Chopra, and progressive doctors like Dr. Neal Barnard, Dr. Mark Hyman, Dr. Joel Fuhrman, Dr. Andrew Weill, and others who are truly the cream of the crop of this movement.

Not only will you learn about dozens of nutritional theories, but also how to create a health coaching business, set up consultations, create programs, and build a profitable health coaching practice.

You will graduate as an IIN Health Coach and be able to create your own business either as an entrepreneur, or alongside a doctor or in a medical spa, retreat center, or wellness business. Some health coaches go on to write books or cookbooks, others launch food products or restaurants, and others focus on coaching. The possibilities are limitless. Health coaches are needed and are finally being recognized as a pivotal part of the health movement.
